Alison
Alison is a clinical Art Therapist/Psychotherapist specializing in individual, groups, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in the Portland, Maine region. She is a Master’s level professional who holds a degree in art therapy/ clinical psychology. Alison also earned Bachelors Degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education.

Alison is credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC), Art Therapist, Licensed Special Educator (K-12), and Elementary School teacher (K-6). She has taught grades 2-6, 9-12. Alison has experience as a clinical Art Therapist in inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities, residential housing, day treatment programs, and Psychiatric Hospitals. Additional experience includes intensive and restrictive special education, resource rooms, teaching graduate school and art, curriculum development, and meeting national educational standards. Alison’s art studio, Nouveau Studio, LLC, is shared with art therapy clients as a professional, creative, and therapeutic space. Her artwork as been featured in juried art shows and galleries across the nation and collected internationally. Alison chooses to spend the rest of her time creating art in Nouveau Studio, LLC, furthering her clinical education and studies, and playing.
